Many Buy to Let Property Investors, both new and old have now started to have their furniture installed professionally for them, rather than having to do it themselves.
The Furniture Package service is proving to be a hit amongst these investors due to a number of reasons. Many times, the Investment Properties are a distance from the landlords home, or simply the landlord can not bear the thought of a whole weekend going through a version of "retail hell", having to hire a van to get the furniture home, then build the furniture with the usual flat pack nightmare, and getting rid of all that cardboard, only to find they missed something fairly vital like a bed or a sofa or a wardrobe and have to go and do it again.
So many of them turn to a professional supplier, and with a click of the mouse, you can now order the full package online, have it installed in a few days, and spread the cost over a 3 year period, or put it all on your credit card.
Many furniture package installation teams understand the requirements of the buy to let investor, as they themselves have their own property, and know full well how important it is to get the job done right. Another important benefit of installing a furniture package, is that it helps to rent the property quicker. With the home now looking like a show home and ready to rent immediately, this helps the tenant imagine living there. I've known many a landlord take 3 weeks to furnish a property to their own standards (not nessecarily to the tenants), when in fact the property could have been rented within the first week (it only takes a professional installation team 2 days).
These days, its even possible to spread the cost over 3 years, which when you work out the additional rental income you may achieve, and the fact that you can claim 10% depreciation on furniture against rental income, it tends to work in the landlords favour financially to get a professional in to install a full furniture package, and it saves a lot of time and bother too !
